At The Hot Hub we offer unique styles of Yoga and HIIT Pilates. We like it HOT !
Bikram Yoga is a set sequence of 26 postures & 2 breathing exercises. This series will allow you to 'switch off' from your day. You will be guided through your 90 minute practice in a room heated to 40°C !
Hot HIIT Pilates is a 60 minute class also in a room heated to 35°C. We start with Pilates principle postures then move into HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training). We finish with some Active Recovery. It's definitely a 'Workout" !
Yin Yoga is a gentle yet profound practice that focuses on targeting the connective tissues in the body—such as ligaments, tendons, and fascia. Yin involves holding postures for an extended period, typically ranging from 3 to 5 minutes or even longer. It is a 60 minute non heated class.
At The Hot Hub, we are more than a Bikram Yoga and Hot HIIT Pilates Studio - we have created a vibrant and supportive community dedicated to your holistic well-being.
Our mission is to provide a space where individuals come together, support each other, and grow stronger both physically and socially. We believe in the power of shared journeys and the warmth of mutual encouragement.

Bikram Yoga is a dynamic and invigorating style of yoga practice that combines traditional yoga postures with a controlled environment of elevated heat and humidity. Developed by Bikram Choudhury, this yoga style consists of a series of 26 postures and two breathing exercises, all carefully sequenced to enhance flexibility, strength and balance. Practiced in a room heated to around 40°C with a humidity of 40%, the heat allows for deeper stretching, detoxification and increased circulation.
Bikram Yoga not only challenges the body but also promotes mental clarity and focus. Whether you're a seasoned yogi or new to the practice, Bikram Yoga offers a unique and rewarding experience that can lead to increased vitality, a sense of accomplishment and offers the opportunity to improve overall well-being through the synergy of movement, breath and heat.
Elevate your fitness routine with Hot HIIT Pilates at The Hot Hub!
Hot HIIT Pilates is a dynamic fusion of traditional Pilates principles and high-intensity interval training (HIIT), all set in a heated environment, around 35°C. This workout is designed to challenge and transform your body by combining core-focused Pilates exercises with bursts of intense cardio. The heat amplifies the benefits, promoting increased flexibility, muscle suppleness, and toxin release.
Led by experienced instructors, our Hot HIIT Pilates sessions provide a challenging yet supportive environment, suitable for all fitness levels.
If you're seeking a calorie-burning, muscle-toning and invigorating experience, Hot HIIT Pilates is the perfect additional to your fitness journey.
Yin Yoga is suitable for all fitness levels. It is a meditative and deeply nourishing practice that focuses on releasing tension and promoting flexibility by targeting the connective tissues of the body. This 60 minute (non heated) practice involves holding gentle poses for an extended period, typically ranging from 3 to 5 minutes.
The philosophy behind Yin Yoga is rooted in traditional Chinese medicine and the concept of balancing the body's energy flow, often referred to as the meridian system. The practice stimulates the flow of chi or prana (life force) through these energy channels.
Yin and Yang cannot exist without each other. Both create a totality, a complete whole. Yin Yoga provides a unique and valuable counterbalance to our heated classes we offer here at The Hot Hub.
If you are looking to bring a little Yin into your Yang practice then come along to The Hub Hub where you can enjoy it all !!

Hello, I’m Kathy 🌻
Let me tell you a little about my story and why I’m excited to keep the heat turned up at The Hot Hub in Nambucca Heads.
Ever hear that people cross your path for a reason? Back in 2006, a friend and I were on a mission to try new things; Go-go dancing, hula-hooping, break-dancing, you name it, the list goes on. It was my friend who chose Bikram Yoga.
My first Bikram Yoga class ? I wont tell a lie – it was challenging.
My friend Fiona convinced me to stick with it. Fiona, if you’re reading this, I thank you from the bottom of my heart !
Fast forward and I found myself practicing right behind an instructor who had this amazing aura. She had this calming presence that was totally infectious. About 18 months later, I graduated from the Palm Desert 2009 Spring Training alongside 320 other amazing people; 9 weeks of Intensive Training, 2 x Bikram Yoga classes a day, daily posture clinics and more! Hands down one of the best and most memorable times of my life to date!
For me, Bikram Yoga is like pressing pause on the world. It taught me to think before reacting, it definitely helps me make better decisions. With a regular practice my body feels like it's a well oiled machine.
The real reward? Being part of peoples life changing journeys – it’s an absolute gift !
I remember Bikrams words: “What’s the most important thing in your life? ....Your life.”
I’m also about Hot HIIT Pilates. I do love the heat ! Fate led me to some awesome training with Amy Kreminski in Sydney. Amy has a long list of credentials as well as a wealth of knowledge.
In addition to my love for Bikram Yoga and Hot HIIT Pilates, I felt that we all need a little Yin in our lives, so I decided to expand my training in health and wellness by completing a Yin Yoga Teacher Training Course with Lisa Nelson at Yoga Bliss in 2022.
Yin and Yang cannot exist without each other - they are two opposite, yet complimentary energies. Come join me at The Hot Hub where we strive to deliver energetic balance and our passion for health and change comes together.

Please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your class so you can settle and acclimatise to the heat. As a Newcomer there will be paperwork to fill out prior to your class.

With our Yin class there are also modifications to choose from making this practice suitable for all fitness levels.
While these classes are generally safe, they may not be suitable for individuals with certain medical conditions. It's recommended to consult with a healthcare professional before starting if you have any health concerns.
In Bikram Yoga & Hot HIIT Pilates we recommend that if you are newly pregnant it is better to avoid any NEW form of exercise. If you are an experienced Bikram Yoga practitioner with a regular practice, we recommend you take a break from Bikram Yoga during the 1st trimester. If you have clearance from your Healthcare Practitioner after this time, your instructor will guide you through your practice with the approved Pregnancy Series.
We do not recommend Yin Yoga for our pregnant students. However you could consider attending prenatal yoga classes specifically designed for pregnant women, as they are tailored to the unique needs and changes of the body during pregnancy.
For Bikram Yoga - If you think you are not flexible or fit, then these are the classes you need! The practice itself is designed to gradually improve your flexibility over time.
We have all been a first-timer at some point. We encourage you to just do the best that you can and the beauty of Bikram Yoga is, the sequence of postures never change. This will allow you to become familiar with your class and you will be able to track how your body and mind movement is changing with each class.
Hot HIIT Pilates is suitable for all levels of fitness. This class offers various modifications to each exercise. There is always an option for you to choose and work with. You will increase body strength and build endurance in these classes.

Yin Yoga is a slow-paced, meditative style of yoga that involves holding passive poses for an extended period, typically ranging from three to five minutes or even longer. These classes are designed to improve your flexibility and are suitable for all levels of fitness. Props are encouraged to be used in class to support any inflexible areas of your body, allowing your joints, ligaments and muscles to gently release and open.
Before attending your Bikram Yoga of Hot HIIT Pilates class it is important to hydrate well prior to your class. 500ml of water at least an hour before your class and another litre of water within an hour after your class is recommended. You should also sip water throughout your class when required.
